JR Window Cleaning

1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) apply to all services provided by JR Window Cleaning (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking our services, you (“the Customer”) agree to these T&Cs.
2. Services Provided
- Our core service is professional window cleaning on a recurring basis every 4 weeks or 8 weeks, unless otherwise agreed.
- Unless otherwise stated, our service covers glass panes, frames, and sills. Extras such as conservatory roofs, skylights, paint or cement removal, gutters, or other specialist work will be quoted separately.
- We reserve the right not to clean any windows where safe access cannot be achieved.
3. Access Requirements
- Customers must ensure we have clear and safe access to all agreed areas (e.g. gates unlocked, pets secured, no obstructions).
- If access is blocked, we may clean only what is accessible, but the full agreed price will still be payable.
4. Recurring Plans & Minimum Term
- By signing up for our 4-weekly or 8-weekly plans, you agree to a minimum of 4 cleans.
- After the minimum term, the agreement continues until cancelled in line with Clause 5 below.
- Prices are set per clean and are payable after each visit, or automatically via your chosen payment method (see Clause 6).
5. Cancellations & Missed Cleans
- To cancel a recurring service, you must give at least 7 days’ notice in writing (email accepted).
- If you fail to provide the required notice and we attend your property, you remain liable for payment of that clean.
- If you cancel before completing the minimum 4 cleans, you agree to pay the outstanding balance for the remaining cleans.
- If we cannot safely clean due to severe weather or safety concerns, we will reschedule at the earliest possible date.
6. Payment Terms
- Payment is due on completion of each clean, unless you are on an automatic recurring payment plan (e.g. Direct Debit, standing order, or card payment).
- Automatic payments will continue unless cancelled in writing with the required notice.
- If a payment fails or is not made within 7 days, we may:
- Suspend further services until the balance is cleared.
- Apply a late payment fee of £10.
- Pass the debt to a collection agency, with all costs added to your balance.
7. Complaints & Service Guarantee
- If you are unhappy with our work, you must notify us within 24 hours of the clean.
- We will return to re-clean the affected area free of charge if justified. Refunds are not provided for completed cleans.
- Complaints made after 24 hours may not be eligible for re-cleaning.
8. Liability
- We carry full Public Liability Insurance.
- We are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing defects (e.g. faulty seals, rotten frames, weak glass, flaking paint).
- Customers are responsible for notifying us of any known defects before we begin work.
9. Termination of Services
- We reserve the right to terminate service if:
- Payment is repeatedly late.
- Safe access cannot be provided.
- The Customer breaches these T&Cs.
- Customers remain responsible for paying for any completed work.
10. Data Protection
- We will handle your personal data in line with UK data protection law (GDPR).
- We will never share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
11. Governing Law
These T&Cs are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes will be handled through the local courts unless otherwise agreed.
